The new provider monitoring visit of 100% Effective Limited, carried out on 14 and 15 January 2025, found that leaders and managers had made insufficient progress in ensuring that effective safeguarding arrangements were in place.
p.2
Context and focus of visit
The focus of this monitoring visit was to evaluate the progress that leaders and managers have made in ensuring that effective safeguarding arrangements are now in place.
p.2
Reasonable progress
Leaders have in place appropriate processes for identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns. They have updated their procedures to ensure that they identify and can then support vulnerable adults before and during the apprenticeship. They have improved the coaching sessions that they provide for apprentices. These now include specific support questions to check that apprentices are safe and the offer of relevant support, if required.
p.2
Reasonable progress
Leaders have ensured that all staff have completed safeguarding training, preventing radicalisation training and online safety training. They have in place a dedicated safeguarding lead who is fully qualified to undertake the role.
p.2
Reasonable progress
Most apprentices are aware of who they should report any concerns to regarding their safety. They understand the support networks in their workplace and know who the designated safeguarding lead is at the provider.
p.2
Reasonable progress
Leaders have in place relevant and useful policies to keep staff and apprentices safe. These include a useful and relevant ‘Prevent’ duty risk assessment and action plan. Monitoring visit: 100% Effective Limited, 20 March 2025 regulates and inspects to achieve excellence in the care of children and young people, and in education and skills for learners of all ages. It regulates and inspects childcare and children’s social care, and inspects the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (Cafcass), schools, colleges, initial teacher training, further education and skills, adult and community learning, and education and training in prisons and other secure establishments. It assesses council children’s services, and inspects services for children looked after, safeguarding and child protection.
