The provision is good

The childminder offers children a nurturing and welcoming environment where they consistently engage in play. She has established effective settling-in procedures that cater to children's interests and needs. This helps children feel safe in the childminder's home and supports their emotional well-being.

p.2

The provision is good

She offers a comprehensive and ambitious curriculum that promotes the different areas of children's development. For example, children enjoy manipulating and pushing various 3D shapes through their corresponding openings. This helps children develop their hand-eye coordination and hand muscles in readiness for early writing skills. The childminder provides children with praise and encouragement, which supports their confidence and self-esteem. Children are curious and eager to acquire new skills and knowledge.

Children use good manners and enjoy taking turns with others. They form a positive bond with the childminder and are happy in her care. They demonstrate this as they play peekaboo with the childminder. Children squeal with delight as they peek through the rings of the stacking toy they are playing with.
