Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 14 February 2025, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was required to take to meet the requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 19 March 2025, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at their last inspection.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We found that arrangements for administering medication have been strengthened. For example, written parental permission is in place for all children. The provider has revised their policy which only allows senior staff to administer medication. Any medication administered is witnessed by a member of staff. Leaders have also provided staff with additional training on administering medication.

p.1

Summary of outcome

Leaders have revised sleeping arrangements so that all children are provided with a suitable environment in which to sleep. The setting now provides all children with sleep mats or low- level beds. All bedding is clean and washed regularly to support children's good health. Staff check sleeping children frequently and maintain a record of these checks. Leaders have provided staff with refresher training on safe sleeping to positively support the recent improvements to sleep arrangements. The environment has also been altered to ensure that sleeping children are not disturbed by those continuing to play.

p.1

Summary of outcome

The provider ensures that staff complete thorough risk assessments to ensure children's safety. For example, trailing wires have been secured out of reach of children, hazardous flooring repaired and replaced, chairs moved, and lighting repaired. Additionally, leaders ensure staff practice keeps the environment safe, by removing risks that may contribute to children falling. Risk assessments are now proactive, and all staff and leaders understand how to keep children safe.

p.1

Summary of outcome

Prompt action has been taken to implement interventions and referrals for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Intervention plans are now linked to children's identified needs and next steps in learning and are well understood by staff. Referrals to external agencies have now been completed. Additionally, the provider has revised the nursery routine and curriculum to help support children's personal, social and emotional development.

p.1

Summary of outcome

Leaders have prioritised the support and coaching of staff. Staff have regular supervision sessions, which helps them to enhance their practice.

p.2

Summary of outcome

We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
