p.1
Findings from the inspection
We did not identify any serious or widespread concerns in relation to the care or protection of children at this assurance visit.
p.2
Findings from the inspection
This assurance inspection took place as the provider informed us that the manager has left his post before the first full inspection. The purpose of this inspection was to ensure that there is appropriate management oversight in place and the home remains a safe place for children.
p.2
Findings from the inspection
Currently, there are no children living at the home and there has not been since the home was registered. The provider has taken the decision not to have any children move in until a new manager has been appointed.
p.2
Findings from the inspection
The responsible individual currently has oversight of the home while he recruits a new manager. A full staff team is in place and the provider has robust arrangements for staff recruitment, ensuring that all necessary checks are completed. This helps to ensure that adults working with children are safe to do so.
p.2
Findings from the inspection
There is a comprehensive training programme available to staff. The provider has a system in place for monitoring staff training, which is effective and ensures that all staff have completed the provider’s identified training. This enables the provider to ensure that when the first child moves into the home, the staff have the appropriate skills and knowledge to meet their needs.
p.2
Findings from the inspection
The home is comfortable, warm and welcoming and is ready for the first child to move in. All health and safety checks have been carried out.
p.2
Findings from the inspection
The provider actively welcomes external audits and these are conducted each month by an independent person. The responsible individual reviews the reports to identify opportunities for improvements and implements the necessary changes. Assurance inspection report for children’s home: 2799377 3
