Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 20 and 23 January 2025, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting requirements relating to: Safeguarding policies and procedures, Qualifications, training, support and skills, Supporting and understanding children's behaviour and Information and record keeping.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 24 January 2025, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The outcome of the inspection was inadequate requiring enforcement action. Following the inspection, we served a welfare requirements notice on 6 February 2025. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 18 February 2025, we carried out a compliance visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at their last inspection. We found that the provider had met the actions set in the welfare requirement notice. The provider had worked closely with the local authority and has increased the amount of oversight they have of the nursery to ensure requirements are met.

p.1

Summary of outcome

They have taken swift action to ensure all children are assigned a key person. They have reviewed the key person policies with staff and introduced a new secondary key person system to ensure children's care and learning is tailored to their individual needs. The provider has reviewed the procedures for the deployment of staff to ensure staff are deployed effectively to meet the education and care needs of all children. The setting has a trained special educational needs coordinator who has accessed a range of training. They link with the other agencies to support them in meeting the individual needs of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Leaders have reviewed all of the targeted support and interventions to ensure all children with SEND are supported to make good progress in their learning.
