Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right. On 25 November 2024, the provider notified us about Safety and suitability of premises, environment and equipment. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of a significant event likely to affect suitability.

Summary of outcome

On 8 January 2025, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The report and inspection outcome will be published in due course. Following the inspection, we served welfare requirements notice on 17 January 2025. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 7 February 2025, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions, raised at their last inspection. We found that the provider has made significant improvements to the premises and environment for children. The heating system has been updated and additional heating systems has been fitted all rooms, to ensure the premises are always kept to a comfortable temperature. Risk assessments have been implemented and are effective in ensuring children's safety is not compromised.

p.2

Summary of outcome

The premises, including the kitchen, have undergone a thorough deep clean. Toilets have been repaired and there are appropriate resources for personal intimate care. Children were observed following good hygiene practises. Staff have undergone training and now hold an appropriate qualification in food hygiene and some staff have undergone specific training in the care of babies. These positive changes mean that children's safety and well-being is no longer compromised. Positive interactions between staff and children were observed. Children had access to activities and resources which they were interested in and staff supported them in their learning. This means children's behaviour was improved as they were engrossed in purposeful play. The information gathered suggests that the provider is now meeting the requirements of their registration. We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.3

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
