Staff work together with the school to monitor children's individual needs and continue to assess them during their time at the club. They share precise information with school staff and pass on messages between parents and teachers. This helps to provide children and families with a positive link and consistency between the school and club. n Partnership with parents is a strength of the club. Staff form positive relationships with parents from the start and value their feedback. Parents are kept fully informed about their children's day through daily conversations. They praise the 'passionate, friendly and professional' staff and comment that their children love the range of activities on offer. Parents feel that they are listened to and the club goes 'over and above' expectations.

All staff complete mandatory training, which includes safeguarding. Staff comment that they are happy and feel supported in their roles. The manager has plans to enhance the system for staff supervision sessions and monitoring staff's practice to extend their professional development further. n Staff support children's independence well. They have developed an environment where children can independently access a range of resources and activities. Children independently wash their hands and help themselves to water from the drink station. They enjoy being responsible for tasks, such as setting out the plates and cups at snack times for the younger children. This supports children to become able and confident in their own ability.
