Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at http://www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 8 December 2024, the childminder notified us about Safeguarding policies and procedures. The notification means that the childminder met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of a significant event.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 15 January 2025, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the childminder was not meeting some of the requirements and had taken action to put this right. The childminder has arranged training to update her knowledge on the action to take if she is concerned about the immediate safety or welfare of a child. We also found the childminder was not meeting some of the requirements. We have issued actions for the childminder to take. The childminder will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure that the safeguarding policy includes the action to take if there are concerns about a child's safety or welfare, specifically if there is a risk of immediate significant harm or in the event of an emergency.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 31 January 2025 the childminder responded to the actions set. The safeguarding policy now includes a section relating to the action to take if there are concerns about that a child's safety is at risk of immediate significant harm or in the event of an emergency.

p.1

Summary of outcome

The childminder is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
