Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2 . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 8 January 2025, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting requirements relating to the safety and suitability of premises, environment and equipment. This was in relation to two separate incidences.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 9 January 2025, the provider notified us about one of these incidences. The notification means that the provider partially met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of significant events. However, the provider did not notify Ofsted of the additional incident.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 10 January 2025, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements and had taken action to put this right. The provider had failed to notify Ofsted of the second significant event, which is a requirement of their registration. This was an oversight, which was discussed further with the provider. The provider has previously informed Ofsted of several other significant events, and now understands their duty to also notify Ofsted of such events in relation to the premises.

p.1

Summary of outcome

The provider has taken appropriate steps to ensure the ongoing security of the premises. This includes raising the height of an external fence and taking steps to ensure that children cannot climb on it. The provider has outlined their additional plans to further increase the security of the fence and gated area of an outdoor play space.

p.1

Summary of outcome

The provider has put in place additional training for cleaning and childcare staff in relation to the safe storage of cleaning products. This includes training for new staff as part of the induction process. The provider has ensured that daily risk assessments include checks to make sure that cleaning items have been removed from children's sight and reach after use. The provider has placed signs in the setting to remind staff to ensure that cleaning products are placed safely out of children's reach.

p.1

Summary of outcome

The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
