This children’s home has been registered since 15 September 2020. The home can provide care for up to two children who experience emotional and social difficulties.

The manager has been in post since June 2024 and has submitted their application to register with Ofsted. The manager is already an approved registered manager of another local children’s home, which is connected to the same provider.

This monitoring visit

A full inspection of this home has never been undertaken due to a prolonged period of there being no manager or staff at the home. Since 21 June 2021, there have been no children living in the home. Therefore, the regulator imposed a condition on the home that means that the provider has to notify Ofsted of its intention to admit children to the home. This monitoring visit was undertaken to assure the regulator that the home is ready to admit children again.

The home environment is clean, safe, homely and child-friendly. The general health and safety of the home are compliant with safety requirements and checks.

Staffing arrangements are safe and suitable to meet children’s needs. The home is fully staffed. Vetting procedures help to protect children from unsuitable adults.
