The provision is outstanding
The childminder's exuberance and dedication to providing an outstanding learning environment where children thrive is plain to see. She is highly skilled at developing warm, caring and secure relationships with children and their families. Children are comfortable and relaxed in her care, and this helps their emotional development. They access favourite resources from the range available to them and confidently request equipment that is stored elsewhere.
p.2
The provision is outstanding
The childminder encourages children's independence, and they behave very well. They play alongside each other with consideration and thoughtfulness. They are highly motivated and eager to join in. For example, during a carefully planned phonics activity, children quickly help the childminder to set up the sound bingo resources. They help to share out the sound cards and are completely ready to play the game alongside the childminder. Their excited engagement in this focused listening activity helps them to reinforce their already good knowledge of letter sounds.
p.2
The provision is outstanding
The childminder has developed a curriculum which takes account of the uniqueness of every child. This inclusive ethos is threaded through her provision and is at the heart of every decision and plan she makes. She is passionate about ensuring that children are ready for the next step in their learning journey. Outdoor adventures are important, and children enjoy muddy walks, splashing in puddles and exploring in nature. The childminder thinks carefully about how she supports the learning and development needs of all children.

30 September 2024 children's individual needs are fully accommodated. Furthermore, she liaises very closely with other professionals to ensure she has the necessary skills to support all children. For example, she has accessed Makaton and British Sign Language training, which she uses in her daily interactions. In turn, children now know some simple signs, which helps with communication. n The childminder plans innovative opportunities to encourage children's mathematical skills. For example, she introduces a threading activity to encourage children to guess which storybook might be hiding in her bag. She helps them retell a familiar part of the story by threading coloured beads onto a piece of string. Children count the beads with her, saying 'one green pickle, two red strawberries'. They excitedly recognise the pattern and guess that the story is 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. Children recognise some familiar shapes in the

They take part in events at the local school, help to raise funds for a variety of local causes, join in with church activities and meet up with other childminders frequently. They visit local nature areas and parks and take walks along the canal. Children learn about the diverse world as they take part in celebration activities. As a result, children know about their world and develop their sense of belonging within it. n The childminder maintains a very strong partnership with parents.
