Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2 . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 7 October 2024 the provider notified us of two significant events about safeguarding policies and procedures and staff: child ratios. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of a significant event.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 21 October 2024 we carried out a regulatory visit and reviewed details of their internal investigation regarding both events. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements relating to children always being within sight and/or hearing and the use of mobile phones and had taken action to put this right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
All staff have received refresher training around their role and responsibility to robustly implement the procedures for ensuring the safety, supervision and accountability of children. The provider has also ensured that all staff have received training regarding the importance of head counts when moving children around the building, including to and from garden areas. Furthermore, the provider has ensured that there are stringent arrangements in place for the safe use of mobile phones within the setting.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We are satisfied with the action taken by the provider and no further action was required by Ofsted on this matter. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
