This provision does not meet requirements

n This is the second consecutive inspection where the childminder has not met the requirements of the early years foundation stage. Some breaches have been raised with the childminder before. She has not yet made the necessary improvements to the provision or developed the knowledge and skills she requires. n The childminder continues to be in breach of the requirements related to information and records. She does not record all information about children to ensure that she knows important details about them, such as about their medical needs. She does not keep accurate and up-to-date records about children's emergency contacts and associated adults who have parental responsibility. This does not promote children's welfare. n The childminder understands that she must consider individual care routines, such as liaising with parents to support children's unique sleep times. She has recently completed training to improve her knowledge of safety while sleeping.

However, in some areas of the premises, the childminder does not yet identify and manage some risks and hazards effectively, to ensure children are kept safe. n The childminder's knowledge of how to implement a balanced and sequenced curriculum remains weak. She has some appealing resources for children. However, through discussion she does not yet demonstrate a thorough understanding of how children learn. Overall, the childminder's understanding of the learning and development requirements is not yet robust enough. n The childminder is aware of how she will promote children's health. She understands about good nutrition and how to encourage children to eat a healthy diet. She explains how she will ensure that children have opportunities to enjoy physical exercise and fresh air outdoors. n The childminder understands the benefits of establishing positive relationships with parents. She recognises the importance of keeping parents informed of the

children's achievements and will share information with them regularly. n The childminder knows how to manage children's behaviour well. She talks about how she will support children to understand rules, boundaries and expectations at her setting. n The childminder has completed safeguarding training. She has sufficient understanding of the possible signs of abuse and neglect. She knows what to do should she have a concern about a child's welfare, and the procedures to follow if there is an allegation made against her.

This provision does not meet requirements

6 September 2024 There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
