throwing the javelin. Leaders explained how these activities would be differentiated for children in the early years age group, so demonstrating they understand their learning needs well. Leaders also described other activities that are planned, for example there are various board games to encourage turn taking and art and craft activities to support children's creativity. n Leaders describe how they support children to understand diversity and respect each other. For example, with their Olympics theme they support children to celebrate success and to congratulate each other. n Leaders demonstrate the expectations for children's behaviour. At the beginning of each day, all children take part in a group time which includes a discussion about the rules of the club and safety awareness, such as knowing where the fire exit is located and the importance of letting the staff know if they need to use the toilet.

n Leaders explain how staff support children to develop healthy lifestyles. Staff help children to be active by organising a wide range of physical activities outdoors. Children are provided with a packed lunch from home and are reminded of the importance of drinking water to stay hydrated, particularly in the hot weather. n Partnerships with parents are strong. The leaders explain that most of the children attend their after-school provision during school term times and, therefore, they have built up good relationships with parents over the years. Many of the staff also work in the school and the after-school provision and know the children and families very well.

This provision meets requirements
12 August 2024 There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
