Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 15 July 2024, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting requirements relating to Safeguarding policies and procedures. In a separate incident, on 26 July 2024, the provider notified us about Safety and suitability of premises, environment and equipment. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of any serious accident to a child while in their care, and of the action taken.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 27 August 2024, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider was meeting the requirements in relation to the accident. We also found that the provider took prompt and appropriate action to safeguard children in their care. They made a necessary referral to the local child protection agency. However, upon reviewing other notifications the provider has informed us about, there was one occasion requirements were not met. A child was left unsupervised for a short period of time. The requirements state that children must be supervised at all times. The child was safe sitting reading a book, but staff had failed to notice this while getting children prepared for lunch in the next room. The provider reviewed risk assessments and has taken action to prevent a similar occurrence. Leaders and staff are diligent in their duty to ensure all requirements are met. This ensures that children are effectively safeguarded.

Summary of outcome

The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
