This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder has made some progress since her last inspection. She has improved her knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures. The childminder demonstrates that she understands how to promote good behaviour through positive reinforcement. She explains how she would teach children to share the resources and respect the needs of others. However, the childminder has not taken part in any training or professional development opportunities since her last inspection to raise her knowledge and understanding of the learning and development requirements. n The childminder does not fully understand her responsibility to meet the requirements of the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage' when there are no children on roll. For example, the childminder has failed to share information with Ofsted about changes to the household to ensure there is an accurate record of household members. In addition, she does not have a

current paediatric first-aid certificate. n The childminder does not have a curriculum in place that can support children across all areas of learning. She cannot confidently explain how she would assess children or use information about what children already know and can do. This has an impact on her ability to be able to successfully plan for their learning and development. n The childminder has an insufficient understanding of how to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. She lacks knowledge of how to seek external support and guidance in the event that a child has a gap or delay in their learning and development. n The childminder has suitable knowledge and understanding of her responsibility to safeguard children in her care. For example, she knows the possible signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect and how to refer any concerns to the relevant authorities. n The childminder plans to collect information from parents about their children's

care routines when they first start. She understands how to work closely with parents to provide children with suitable, healthy lunches. The childminder plans to help children grow in independence and manage some tasks for themselves, such as using the toilet and washing their hands independently. n The childminder understands how to help children develop a healthy lifestyle. For example, she plans to provide daily opportunities for them to access her garden or local park. n The childminder has effective procedures in place to ensure her premises are safe, clean and secure for children. The childminder confidently identifies and minimises hazards in her home and the garden.

This provision does not meet requirements

19 July 2024 There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
