children, puts them at risk. n The provider does not recognise how to manage and act on children's unsafe behaviours. She does not understand how to ensure children know what is expected of them, to ensure their safety and well-being are not compromised. The provider does not demonstrate how children learn to keep themselves or each other safe. n While the provider knows the requirement to maintain a record of each child's attendance, this is not happening in practice. This means the information needed to monitor children's safety and welfare is not available. n The provider builds positive partnerships with parents and the local school. There are effective links with teachers to share information and to find out what children are currently learning at school. The provider understands how to use this information to plan activities which complement the school's curriculum. For example, learning about the plague through art and craft activities, such as

For instance, the provider understands the value of inviting experts to visit the setting. She recognises the benefits to children of them sharing their knowledge of important aspects such as bat protection and how to make wildlife gardens. n The provider is knowledgeable about child protection concerns. She has a secure understanding of the correct procedure to follow if she has concerns about a child's welfare. She follows appropriate recruitment processes, ensuring all necessary suitability checks are completed on staff that occasionally work at the setting.

This provision does not meet requirements
10 June 2024 There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
