Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 27 January 2023, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting some of these requirements.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 31 January 2023 we carried out a regulatory visit. During the regulatory visit we found new areas of concern. This means that the provider was not meeting other requirements as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We found that the provider had failed to notify Ofsted of significant events, which included having contact with other agencies. Additionally, we found that the provider was not maintaining required documentation in an up-to-date manner, meaning that she did not have the correct contact information for some of the children and families in her care. Furthermore, we found that the provider was using a household member as a registered assistant who was having sole care of children and collecting them from school. This was without following the correct procedures to register them with Ofsted to enable them to do this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 27 April 2023, we carried out a further regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare requirement breaches identified at the regulatory visit on 31 January 2023.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We found that the provider now understood when to make a notification to Ofsted. The provider's documentation was up to date and they were clear about the procedures to follow should they want to register a household member as an assistant.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
p.2
