Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2 . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 23 July 2024, the provider notified us of an allegation being made against a member of staff. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of any allegations of serious harm or abuse by anyone living, working, or looking after children at the premises.

Summary of outcome

On 7 August 2024, we carried out a regulatory telephone call. We found the provider was meeting some of the requirements. They have secure vetting processes in place for new staff, including that they have passed the required checks to ensure they are suitable. The provider has induction training in place, that includes safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety issues. They also have a safeguarding policy in place which includes the action to be taken in the event of an allegation being made against a member of staff. However, we also found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements and had taken action to put this right. The provider has carried out supervision arrangements to enable staff to discuss any issues, identify solutions to address these issues and receive coaching to improve their practice. They have also ensured that staff are trained so that they understand children's behaviour and can support and manage this in an appropriate

way. The provider has also ensured that staff are trained to meet the individual needs of all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. They have also ensured that staff are aware of and understand the policy and procedures to follow and the action to be taken in the event of an allegation being made against a member of staff, including immediately notifying the local authority children's social care team, in line with local reporting procedures. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
