Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 10 Jul 2024, the provider notified us of an incident involving a child going missing on a walk close to the setting. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of significant incidents.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 16 July 2024, we carried out a regulatory telephone call. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements and had taken action to address some of these breaches. The provider had improved the procedures for taking children on outings and staff's understanding of supervising children appropriately.

p.1

Summary of outcome

However, the provider did not follow the safeguarding procedures and notify the relevant agencies of the incident. We have issued an action for the provider to take. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

• ensure the designated safeguarding lead notifies the relevant agency in the event of an allegation or concern regarding a staff member or volunteer, in line with the Local Safeguarding Partnership procedures.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 6 August 2024, the provider responded to the action set. We found that the provider had improved their understanding of the safeguarding procedures and had shared information, as required, with the relevant agency. We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare action raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
