This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder does not have a paediatric first-aid qualification that meets the requirements as set out in the statutory guidance for the early years foundation stage (EYFS). n The childminder does not have public liability insurance in place. This is a breach to EYFS requirements. n The childminder has a poor understanding of how to identify signs of possible abuse and neglect at the earliest opportunity. This means the childminder cannot promote children's safety and welfare effectively. n The childminder cannot demonstrate a secure and up-to-date knowledge and understanding of child protection policies and procedures. This means she does not have the knowledge required to ensure timely safeguarding referrals to appropriate agencies. n The childminder has not ensured her home is free from hazards or taken steps to minimise any risks to children's health and safety arising from the premises and equipment.

This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder does not maintain easily accessible and available records. This means she cannot demonstrate that the provision is safe and efficiently managed. n The childminder has a poor understanding of how children learn. She has not considered how to deliver a curriculum that ensures educational programmes respond to children's emerging needs. n The childminder is not aware of the EYFS requirement to review children's progress when they are aged between two and three years.

p.2

This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
