p.2
Findings from the inspection
Staff use their knowledge of children and the positive relationships they have with them to manage and de-escalate difficult situations and challenging behaviour. When physical interventions are used by staff to keep children safe, this is as a last resort. Children and staff have the opportunity to talk through what happened with someone not involved in the incident and raise any concerns. Strong management oversight promotes safe practice and learning.
p.2
Findings from the inspection
Internal monitoring systems and monthly independent visitor reports all support the development of the home. The manager also uses her six-monthly quality of care review effectively to reflect on what has gone well and set actions for the coming months. This is helping to bring about continued improvements in the quality of care provided to children. Assurance inspection report for children’s home: 1263329 3
