On the day of the inspection, children had fun with chalks, water and paintbrushes. This promoted their small-muscle skills and early literacy development when making marks on the wall. Toddlers maintained their interest for a extended length of time, helping them to develop high levels of concentration. Children gain confidence in taking appropriate risks. They develop a very strong understanding of keeping themselves and others safe. This was seen when toddlers climbed up the steps and waited patiently for their turn on the slide.
