Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 20 February 2024, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting some of these requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 5 March 2024, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We have served a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out.

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure those with overall responsibility comply with the requirements of health and safety legislation, including fire safety requirements

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure that appropriate fire detection and control equipment (for example, fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire blankets and/or fire extinguishers) are in working order and that fire exits and fire doors are free of obstruction

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure those with overall responsibility take all reasonable steps to ensure staff and children in their care are not exposed to risks and demonstrate how they are managing and minimising risks. For example, in relation to specific issues, such as informing staff practice and identifying aspects of the environment that need to be checked on a regular basis, when and by whom so that these risks will be removed or minimised.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 16 April 2024, we carried out a further regulatory visit to monitor the provider's response to the actions set. We found that the provider had taken appropriate action. They had complied with the relevant requirements for fire safety and ensured that their fire detection and control equipment was in full working order. Leaders and managers had updated all staff to know how to safely evacuate children and how to identify and minimise risks. Leaders and managers now fully understand their roles and responsibilities.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
