Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 28 February 2024, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The report and inspection outcome will be published in due course. Following the inspection we served a welfare requirements notice on 1 March 2024. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. Actions needed by 11 March 2024:

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 12 March 2024 we carried out a regulatory visit. We found that the provider had improved their knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, including her own policy and procedure and the role of the LADO, to a basic level. We also found that the provider can demonstrate she now has some acceptable knowledge and understanding of the government statutory guidance documents highlighted above. We also found that the provider would be able to identify, understand and respond appropriately to signs of possible abuse, including FGM, and neglect.

p.1

Summary of outcome

In addition however, we found that the provider is not keeping a daily record of the names of the children being cared for on the premises or their hours of attendance, this is a requirement of their registration. We have therefore issued an action for the provider to take. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
