Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 24 January 2024, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate with enforcement.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We suspended the provider's registration on 25 January 2024 because we believed children may be at risk of harm. Suspension allows time for the provider to take steps to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm to children. The provider has a right to appeal against a suspension. The provider may not provide childcare for which registration is required while the suspension is in place and may commit an offence if they do so. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was required to take to meet the requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 22 February 2024, we carried out a monitoring visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at their last inspection. We found that so far, the provider has taken adequate action to meet the safeguarding and welfare requirement actions set. Leaders complete risk assessments to identify and remove risks within the environment. They have also reviewed and updated their safeguarding procedures, which includes the use of mobile phones and details the action to take when dealing with allegations against staff. In addition, leaders have improved the arrangements for checking staff's suitability to work with children. They now maintain accurate records of the identity and vetting checks completed on staff. Leaders have improved the arrangements in place for outings, which includes someone holding a current paediatric first aid certificate. They now maintain accurate records of anyone who

comes into unsupervised contact with children. Leaders have taken steps to improve hygiene practice. They have also taken action to meet the correct staff-to-child ratios. Leaders have started to take action to provide all staff, including managers with appropriate training opportunities. They have taken steps to improve the arrangements in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. The suspension has now been lifted. We will continue to monitor the progress of the action taken to ensure children are kept safe at the setting. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

Summary of outcome

On 20 March 2024, we carried out a further monitoring visit. The focus of the visit was to explore, with staff, the action the provider had taken to meet the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at their last inspection. We found that the provider responded to the actions set. Staff's knowledge of risk assessments has improved since their last inspection. The environment is safe and secure. Safeguarding procedures have been updated and detail the action to take in reference to responding to allegations against a member of staff. Staff and leaders now fully understand the action to take if an allegation is made against a member of staff. Leaders have implemented an effective policy on the use of mobile phones. There are effective systems in place to check the suitability of all those who come into contact or who work with children. Leaders now keep accurate records of the checks completed on staff.

p.1

Summary of outcome

They also keep accurate records of the names, addresses and contact details for all staff. The arrangements in place for outings have improved. Leaders now ensure there is always someone who is trained in paediatric first aid who accompanies children on all outings. They have also taken action to improve hygiene practices within the setting to promote the health of all children. Leaders have taken action to meet the correct staffing qualification requirements. They have placed focus on providing training for staff to help them understand their roles and responsibilities and to help improve the quality of the learning and development experiences on offer to children. Leaders have also improved the support in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Leaders oversight of the setting has improved, since their last inspection, this helps to keep children safe and well.
