n The childminder is passionate about teaching children the importance of healthy lifestyles. She explains how she plans to offer choices. She believes this will enable children to make healthy choices for themselves. n The childminder has not maintained a current paediatric first-aid certificate. This is a breach of the requirements. n The childminder understands the importance of children developing their independence skills. She has a good understanding of how she intends to do this. For example, she would like children to have responsibilities, including hanging up their own coats and clearing their plates after meals. n The childminder can recognise the signs and symptoms which may indicate that a child is being abused. However, she was unclear of the process to follow if she had concerns about the safety of a child. This means that the correct processes may not be followed. This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
