Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 25 September 2023, the provider notified us about a serious injury to a child's hand. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted. The notification raised concerns that the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. On 6 November 2023, we carried out an unannounced regulatory visit. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements but had taken action to put this right.

Summary of outcome
We found that following the incident, the provider took prompt action to reassess staff's supervision of children when they need to leave the room and has assessed the potential risks during this time to ensure children are safe. We found that the provider had removed the door that caused the injury and has reviewed all doors, gates and furniture used in the building to keep children safe and secure. We found the provider has issued staff with long range two-way radios so that they can call for cover if they need to leave the room or garden area to ensure children are safe. The provider has improved staff's knowledge and understanding of risk assessments, safety procedures and the completion of accident records. He has put in place procedures to ensure this knowledge is maintained by all staff. The provider has also arranged for the whole staff team to undergo Safer Working Practice training from the local authority. Improvements have been made to the induction policy for

Summary of outcome
The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
