Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 2 October 2023, the provider notified us of an incident that had occurred regarding the management of children's food intolerances. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of significant events.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 24 October 2023, we carried out a regulatory telephone call. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements and had taken action to put this right. The provider has conducted a thorough investigation, including speaking to all staff including the cook and the deputy manager. The provider has ensured that the nursery procedures for managing children's dietary needs are in place and effectively implemented in practice. The nursery manager has delivered training during a team meeting to refresh all staff on these procedures to ensure they are clear about them. Furthermore, the nominated individual has completed spot checks and spoken with staff about children's allergies and dietary needs. New measures are in place to ensure that no child has access to food that they can self- serve without direct staff supervision and support to facilitate this. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
