p.1

This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder does not reflect on her practice to establish a targeted programme of professional development, ensuring that her skills and knowledge improve to the highest level. This is despite actions set at the previous inspection to increase her knowledge and understanding of children's learning and development and of safeguarding policy and procedures. n The childminder demonstrates a lack of knowledge regarding how to support children's safety and how to correctly notify the relevant child protection agencies effectively. She has insufficient understanding of what to do if a child is vulnerable to risk or if an allegation is made. n The childminder understands the value of working in partnership with parents and other settings that children may attend or move on to. n The childminder demonstrates that she has effective arrangements in place to provide children with a healthy diet. She understands the importance of nutrition

in relation to supporting children's health and well-being. n The childminder understands the importance of managing children's behaviour and increasing children's understanding of how their behaviour impacts on others. The childminder uses strategies based on children's ages and understanding to teach them about how to care for and respect each other. n The childminder completes an effective risk assessment, both indoors and outdoors, to ensure that children are not exposed to hazards. n The childminder has not sufficiently increased her knowledge of how to plan a curriculum based on what individual children need to experience, learn and be able to do.

p.2

This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
