Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 1 August 2023, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The report and inspection outcome will be published in due course. Following the inspection we served a welfare requirements notice on 4 August 2023. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

n implement an effective key-person system an ensure that staff know how to support the individual needs of all children. On 7 August 2023, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions due by 4 August, raised at their last inspection.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We found that the provider had met some of the safeguarding and welfare actions but not others. They had improved the procedures for the use of mobile phones and the deployment of staff to supervise children more effectively. However, they did not address the breaches of requirements relating to the safeguarding of children.

p.2

Summary of outcome

We served another welfare requirements notice. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

n review the information that is held on children and ensure the relevant details are shared with other professionals, to safeguard children

p.2

Summary of outcome

n ensure all staff, including the designated safeguarding lead improve their knowledge and understanding of how to safeguard children, including how to identify, record and report possible signs of abuse.

p.2

Summary of outcome

Following the regulatory visit on 7 August 2023 we also suspended the provider's registration because we believed children may be at risk of harm. Suspension allows time for the provider to take steps to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm to children.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 8 August 2023, the provider notified us of their wish to resign their registration. Consequently, we lifted the suspension to allow us to resign their registration. They are no longer a registered childcare provider.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.3

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
