Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 6 June 2023, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was required to take to meet the requirements.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 4 July 2023, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at their last inspection.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 4 July 2023, we found the provider had met some of the safeguarding and welfare actions but not others. The provider has started to embed an effective key-person system that meets the needs of the children. She has appropriate arrangements in place to ensure that all required information about children is obtained. The provider has ensured that strategies to manage children's behaviour in an effective and appropriate way have been implemented. She has put systems in place to ensure that staff benefit from effective supervision, training and support so they have the knowledge and skills to fulfil their roles successfully.
p.1
Summary of outcome
However, we have served another welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. Actions needed by 21 July 2023:
p.1
Summary of outcome
n ensure staff designated to take the lead for safeguarding have the knowledge and skills to fulfil their role effectively
p.2
Summary of outcome
n take action to ensure that staff implement an effective risk assessment to help identify and minimise any hazards and keep children safe, particularly while playing.
p.2
Summary of outcome
On 26 July 2023, we conducted a regulatory visit to monitor the welfare requirements notice. The provider responded to the actions set. We found that they had improved their knowledge and understanding of child protection procedures and now fully understand their responsibilities. The provider had implemented effective risk assessment procedures to keep children safe.
p.2
Summary of outcome
We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised.
p.2
