p.2
Context and focus of visit
Next Level Impact Limited (NLIL) is an independent learning provider based in Belfast. NLIL has been training apprentices since 2020 on the level 5 operations or departmental manager standard. At the time of the monitoring visit, the provider had fewer than five apprentices enrolled on training programmes. All apprentices are based in Norfolk. There are no apprentices in receipt of high-needs funding and the provider has no subcontractors.
p.2
Reasonable progress
Since the previous inspection, leaders have improved their safeguarding arrangements. Safeguarding leads have been appropriately trained to undertake their roles. Leaders have ensured that apprentices have a sound understanding of health and safety in the workplace. Apprentices know how to keep themselves and the staff they are responsible for safe. In addition, leaders work closely with employers to ensure that they are aware of their safeguarding responsibilities.
p.2
Reasonable progress
Leaders have ensured that apprentices gain a deep understanding of the risks in the local area, including from far-right extremism and the growing prevalence of modern slavery. Apprentices know how to identify and protect themselves from extreme ideologies and who to report any concerns to. Leaders ensure that they maintain their understanding of local risks through their participation in provider network groups. Tutors discuss local threats with employers and apprentices. As a result, apprentices know how to keep themselves safe.
p.2
Reasonable progress
Leaders and managers now have clear reporting procedures for any safeguarding incidents. They have ensured that they now have in place appropriate governance arrangements to provide oversight of safeguarding. However, leaders and managers have not yet ensured that their revised safeguarding policies are accurate and up to Monitoring visit: Next Level Impact Limited, 7 and 8 June 2023 date. Leaders have yet to define fully the process for dealing with allegations against staff.
