Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 17 May 2023, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting some of these requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 18 May 2023, the provider notified us of an incident relating to the safety of children. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of a significant event.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 18 May 2023, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider had taken action to mitigate the incident re-occurring. However, we found that the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We have served a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure all children are given a key person and this information is shared with parents or carers when their child first starts attending.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We will monitor the provider's response to ensure the actions are successfully completed.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 06 June 2023, we carried out a further monitoring visit and found that the provider has responded to the actions set. We found that risk assessments have been improved and staff demonstrate a clearer understanding of the role they play to identify and minimise/remove hazards in the environment so that children can be kept safe from harm. At the monitoring visit we also found that the provider had taken steps to ensure they meet the required ratios and staffing qualification requirements. We also found that staff were deployed more effectively to ensure that children are supervised well as they eat and play. All children now have a key person assigned before they start attending the setting and this information is shared to parents/carers.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
