p.1
Information about this children’s home

Information about this children’s home
However, completion of the refurbishment of the home was delayed and, consequently, the organisation was not ready to open the home.
p.1
This monitoring visit
This monitoring visit was undertaken to review whether the provider had complied with the suspension notice imposed by Ofsted on 22 March 2023. On 21 March 2023, Ofsted was provided with information anonymously, which reported concerns that a child and an adult were living in the children’s home. Furthermore, it was alleged that alcohol and drugs were being consumed on the premises. At the visit on 22 March 2023, inspectors found that poor oversight by leaders and the independent person had enabled the home to be used in an unfit manner.
p.1
This monitoring visit
At this visit, the home was vacant. No children were residing at the home, and no staff were present. The previous contractors were not present, and the home did not smell of cannabis. As a result of this, the suspension notice has been complied with.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The home remains unhabitable, and renovations have stalled. The organisation is awaiting new contractors to complete the work required. Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 1254840 2 The responsible individual has stated that the home is not anticipated to be used before November 2023.
