Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right. On 14 April 2023, we received concerns that this provider was not meeting some of these requirements. On 23 May 2023, we carried out an unannounced regulatory visit. The original concerns were in regard to appropriate procedures not being followed after a child had an accident. At this visit, we found that staff had acted appropriately after the accident. However, they had not completed a suitable record of the accident and shared the record with parents in line with the setting's policy. Since the accident, the provider has reviewed the nursery policy and has ensured that all staff understand the procedures to be followed if a child has an accident.
