Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 6 April 2023 the provider notified us of a safeguarding incident. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of any significant events which could affect the safety of children.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 20 April 2023, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider had taken some action regarding the safeguarding notification. Staff received training regarding the arrival and collection policy to ensure they understand their responsibilities when children are collected. However, we found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We have issued an action for the provider to take. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

n strengthen the registration system to ensure all essential information requested is completed by parents, so that staff are fully aware of the security arrangements in place and know the adults who are authorised to collect children.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 10 May 2023 the provider notified Ofsted of a further safeguarding incident. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of significant incidents. On 26 May 2023 we carried out a regulatory telephone call. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements and had taken action to put this right. They have reviewed their outdoor play risk assessment and provided further training to staff to ensure children are supervised and accounted for at all times.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 10 May 2023 the provider responded to the action set. We found that the provider had improved the registration system to safeguard children at collection times by ensuring any unknown parents/carers show photographic ID. In addition, they have ensured parents provide security passwords so these can be checked by the staff handing over a child.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
