Summary of outcome
Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's Services and Skills is leading Ofsted's work into how regulated early years and childcare providers in England have delivered child- centred practice and care, within the context of the restrictions placed on society during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
p.1
Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 6 April 2023, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be not met with enforcement. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was required to take to meet the requirements.
p.1
Summary of outcome
As a result of the inspection, we suspended the provider's registration because we believed children may be at risk of harm. Suspension allows time for the provider to take steps to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm to children. The provider has a right to appeal against a suspension. The provider may not provide childcare for which registration is required while a suspension is in place and may commit an offence if they do so.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 12 May 2023, we carried out a regulatory monitoring visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider was abiding by the suspension notice and had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at the inspection.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We found that the provider had improved their knowledge and understanding of the legal requirements. They have reviewed and improved the organisation of their provision. This includes restocking their first aid kits and ensuring necessary record keeping, such as attendance registers and public liability insurance. They have taken appropriate steps to mitigate risks posed to children outside and will make alternative arrangements for children to enjoy outdoor play offsite. They have accessed suitable child protection training courses and now fully understand their safeguarding responsibilities.
p.1
Summary of outcome
Therefore, we are satisfied the provider has met all the safeguarding and welfare actions raised and the suspension was lifted. T he provider has now resigned their Early Years Register registration and chosen to remain on the Childcare Register only with Ofsted.
