Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 28 April 2023, the provider notified us of a significant incident. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of any significant event.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 10 May 2023, we carried out a regulatory telephone call. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We have issued an action for the provider to take. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

gain a secure knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policy and procedures, in particular, when to notify the local authority designated officer (LADO) of an accident or unexplained injury to a child and to seek and follow their advice, and to inform other agencies with statutory responsibilities without delay.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 15 May 2023 the provider responded to the action set. We found that the provider had improved their knowledge and understanding of the safeguarding policy and procedures. This includes when to notify the local authority designated officer (LADO) of any accident or unexplained injury to a child to seek and follow their advice and to inform other agencies with statutory responsibilities, including the local child protection agencies, without delay. Going forward, they have completed refresher safeguarding policy training and revisited the guidance in 'Inspecting safeguarding in early years, education and skills' and ''Working Together to Safeguard Children'. This has updated their knowledge of the notification process to ensure that they follow the correct policies and procedures for keeping everyone safe.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
