This provision does not meet requirements
childminder does not have a thorough understanding of ongoing assessment or how to use this information to plan an educational programme that meets individual children's needs. This includes completing the required progress check for children aged between two and three years, to provide parents with a short written summary of their child's development. The childminder acknowledges that this is an area for development and is seeking further opportunities for professional development through the local authority. n The premises are safe and suitable for young children. The childminder understands the need to supervise young children carefully, for example, when going down the stairs to use the garden. She has a good understanding of how to support children's safety and security. The childminder models safe behaviour well. For example, she teaches older children how to cross the road safely on the way home from school.

This provision does not meet requirements
There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
