need to do better?
n The childminder understands that children need to be physically active inside and outdoors. However, she does not plan opportunities for children to spend time outside every day. Children have infrequent opportinities to take part outdoor play opportunities, such as at the local park or in the garden. Children are not able to fully develop their physical skills. n The childminder finds out what children know and can do. She shares this information with parents. However, the childminder does not use this knowledge to plan ambitious activities for children. For example, children are sometimes unable to find something challenging to play with. At times, they are not fully able to experience setbacks, try hard and concentrate. This means that children are not fully prepared for the next stage of their education. n The childminder understands how children learn new language. However, she does not use this knowledge to teach vocabulary, so that all children
