The provision is good

Children are happy and settled in this childminder's home. They explore the environment with confidence and independently choose activities to engage with. Children have good bonds with the childminder and look to her for reassurance or support. Children get praise and encouragement from the childminder. She is quick to extend learning and celebrate the children's ideas. For example, the children get the pots and spoons out to make music and the childminder is quick to join in and introduce new words such as 'slow', 'fast', 'loud' and 'quiet'. She also uses this opportunity to sing songs with the children, which they enjoy. Singing and story times are plentiful. The childminder speaks to the children with warmth and the children display the same kindness and care towards each other.
