Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 31 January 2023, we carried out an inspection and found that the childminder was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate and we served a welfare requirements notice. The inspection report sets out the actions the childminder was required to take to meet the requirements.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 23 February 2023, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the childminder had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at her last inspection.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We found that the childminder has improved her knowledge and understanding of effective risk assessment. She has taken prompt action to remove the hazards in the garden and make the area safe for children to play and explore in. The childminder has reflected on how she supervises children. She has increased her awareness of the risks of leaving children unsupervised while they are eating. The childminder has reflected on how she supports children to become independent while keeping them safe at the same time. She has increased her awareness of the need to teach children how to keep themselves safe, for example, when carrying scissors. The childminder has repaired her gate and made her premises secure. She now maintains an accurate record of children's attendance and understands the importance of this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
We are satisfied the childminder has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The childminder is still registered with Ofsted.
