Inspection of Tiny Rockers Ltd Tiny Rockers, Ordnance Road, Chorley PR7 7EZ

p.1

This provision meets requirements

Children enter the setting happily and are eager to join in the fun. Children demonstrate a strong awareness of the daily routines as they quickly hang up their coats and belongings and rush off to play. Children benefit from warm, caring relationships with staff. Staff spend considerable amounts of time absorbed in discussion with children, asking them about their day in school and what they have been doing during the week. Children are very keen to tell the inspector all about their time at the club. They explain that they really enjoy attending as the staff are 'amazing'. They particularly enjoy games of chase around the soft-play equipment. This is evident by the squeals of laughter and delight.

This provision meets requirements

Children are independent and freely make choices about where they would like to play. They are confident to put forward suggestions for different activities, such as purchasing a games console, which staff accommodate where possible. Younger children develop positive relationships with older children, who provide guidance and support to them. For example, younger children receive help with serving snack. This effectively supports children's confidence, self-esteem and helps to develop a strong sense of belonging.

n Children are safe and feel safe. Staff carefully and sensitively explain the setting's rules to the children. This helps children to learn to take responsibility for their own safety. For example, children explain to the inspector why they need to hold the rope as they walk home from school. This keeps children safe when they cross the roads. n Children play well together, they share resources and take turns. They understand the routines, such as the younger children using the soft-play equipment first. Children respond well when they are given a five-minute warning to come off the equipment. Children explain about the 'star of the week' award and how this is for people who had done something special. n Children have many opportunities to be creative. Staff skilfully interweave creative activities with the opportunities to introduce children to new ideas and build on what they have been learning about in school. They thoroughly enjoy
