Discussion took place around the necessity to notify Ofsted in relation to incidents when they are considered separate incidents, albeit relating to the same injuries. This was accepted by the provider, and an additional notification will be submitted. No additional action is required.

p.1

This monitoring visit

A number of lodges currently have alarms that monitor children entering or leaving the lodge. Inspectors reviewed a sample risk assessment to understand how the use Inspection report for children's home - monitoring visit: 2635351 2 of the monitoring is linked to safeguarding. It was identified that the monitoring does not fall within the purpose of safeguarding. The provider agreed to review the children’s risk assessments and remove the electronic monitoring from the lodges. A new requirement has been raised at this visit.

p.1
