This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder has failed to ensure that she always has a first-aid box accessible with appropriate content for use with children. Although the childminder is aware that she did not have this at the time of inspection, she has not taken prompt enough action to address this. As a result, she is unable to ensure that she can provide appropriate first-aid treatment to children in the event of an emergency. This impacts on the safety of children. n Since the last inspection, the childminder has completed child protection training. As a result, through discussion, the childminder now demonstrates a secure knowledge and understanding of different types of abuse that a child may be at risk of. The childminder can recognise signs that could indicate a concern about a child. She knows the correct procedures to follow to report any concerns to other agencies in order to safeguard children. n The childminder is able to explain how she manages children's behaviour in an

She states that she gathers information from parents about their children's development, and uses this to inform her own assessments of children. The childminder explains the procedures in place to plan for children's individual development needs, and how she intends to support children to make progress in their learning and development. n The childminder explains how she is able to provide tailored care for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. She understands how to access support for children who may have delays in their development, and how to put strategies in place to help children keep up with their peers.

This provision does not meet requirements

9 January 2023 There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
