Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right. On 15 November 2022, the provider notified us of a concern that had been raised with them. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of any significant events which is likely to affect the suitability of the early years provider or any person who cares for, or is in regular contact with, the children on the premises to look after children.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 11 January 2023, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found that the provider has carried out an internal investigation. They are to amend the healthy eating policy and the behaviour policy. They are offering training to staff. We found that the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. They have not ensured that all staff have suitability checks, including a DBS check before working with children unsupervised. We have issued an action for the provider to take. They have also not ensured that Ofsted have been given up-to-date information on the current committee members, so that suitability checks can be carried out on them. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure that people whose suitability has not been checked, including through a criminal records check, do not have unsupervised contact with children being cared for

p.1

Summary of outcome

We will monitor the provider's response to ensure the action is successfully completed. On 20 January 2023, the provider responded to the action set. They have rewritten the staff suitability declaration to include volunteers and added a statement to ensure that staff who do not have a criminal records check must not be unsupervised with children. In addition, they have reviewed all the policies and procedures.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare action raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
