Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 31 October, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting some of these requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 15 December 2022, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate. Following the inspection we served a welfare requirements notice on 22 December 2022. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure staff are deployed and communicate more effectively, so that all children are supervised and monitored more closely during their play and routines, with particular regard to new and younger children in the two-to four-year old room

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure the key person arrangements for children are clear so staff know who is to take responsibility for each child's individual emotional well-being, care and learning needs

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure leaders have better oversight of the provision to improve the managers and staff's access to more robust coaching, supervision, and training, helping them to fulfil the responsibilities of their roles, improve their practice and strengthen their care and teaching skills.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 6 January 2023, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions, raised at their last inspection.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We found that the provider responded to the actions set. The provider has taken steps to develop and improve staff's knowledge and skills to ensure they meet the needs of all children in their care, including those children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. The provider has held meetings with each individual member of staff to confirm their roles and responsibilities. The provider has considered the daily routines and deployed staff suitably to supervise children at all times, including mealtimes and outdoor play. The provider has improved key person arrangements and shared this with parents. There are now processes in place to monitor the impact of support and training delivered to managers and staff to make sure it is effective and positively impacts the children's experiences and learning, in particular in the two-to-four-year-old room.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
