This poses a risk to children. n Risk assessments are not carried out and hazards within the premises are not dealt with effectively. For example, wires are accessible and cleaning materials are kept in a low-level unlocked cupboard. Children could easily access any of these items, which could result in injury. n The childminder demonstrates a secure understanding of child protection. She is aware of the signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect. The childminder is also clear on the procedures to follow should she have a concern about a child in her care or in the event of an allegation. n The childminder has good knowledge of the learning and development requirements. She knows how to plan and provide interesting and challenging activities for children, to help them make progress. The childminder also

This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
