p.1
This provision does not meet requirements
n The childminder still does not have a current paediatric first-aid qualification. Completing training to obtain a paediatric first-aid qualification was an action set at her last inspection. She has failed to meet this action. This means that the childminder may not respond in a correct or appropriate way if a child were to have a minor accident or injury. The childminder does now have a first-aid box. n The childminder does not have appropriate fire-control equipment within the premises. This puts children's safety at risk. n The childminder has a safeguarding policy and procedure in place, but she does not follow it. The childminder has not reported allegations made about individuals who come into regular contact with children to the local authority designated officer. She fails to maintain appropriate records to support information sharing with professionals to safeguard children. n The childminder has previously completed safeguarding training, but she now

has gaps in her knowledge and understanding. She is unaware of the 'Prevent' duty guidance and does not know the signs to look out for which could suggest an individual is being drawn into extremism. n Although the childminder does currently not look after any early years children, she does look after older children. The childminder does not keep a daily record of these children, or their hours of attendance. This is a requirement. n The childminder can explain how she would promote the development of children. She demonstrates an understanding of age-appropriate learning and explains the activities she would provide to support this. The childminder knows which services she would work with if she had a concern about a child's development. n The childminder knows how to shape children's behaviour in a positive way. She says she would consider the reasons why children behave in a certain way and would address any triggers. The childminder explains how she would

communicate with children in an age-appropriate way to help them understand the impact of their actions. n The childminder recognises that children need fresh air and opportunities to exercise each day. She describes how she would take children on walks and to the local park. The childminder explains children can take safe risks at the park as they learn to negotiate large climbing equipment. She says that she would teach children how to use the equipment in a safe way.
p.2
This provision does not meet requirements
There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
